LCD Wall Mounts

Plasma or LCD? Both are Great

With two competing technologies vying for the HDTV market, many people wonder whether they should go with LCD or plasma. While the differences are small, there are subtle advantages to each technology. Plasma tends to be better at reproducing true blacks (since LCD’s are lit from behind the screen a little light leakage is inevitable) and often perform better with on-screen motion. LCD screens will last longer and consume less power. However, both formats have gone through enough generations to produce excellent picture. In fact, the differences are so subtle in image quality that a new buyer need not worry.
When that TV is hooked up, you’re going to love it, whether it’s plasma or LCD. In other words, stop worrying and just get on the HD bandwagon already. There are more important considerations now. For one, we are far too accustomed to old and bulky televisions. You know the kind. If you wanted a big-screen a few years ago you had to be prepared to give half a room to the fat monster. In fact, we’ve grown so accustomed to big and bulky, that no one thinks about how to best use their new HDTV.
LCD wall mounts or plasma brackets are the best way to free yourself of floor planning centered around the television. The best LCD and plasma televisions have an approximate viewing angle of 140 degrees, meaning the screen can be seen from 70 degrees right or left of center. Now that’s pretty good, but why not up the ante a bit? With modern mounting tools no one need settle, or design all their furniture around the television. Install LCD wall mounts and suddenly your viewing angle has gone from 140 degrees to coverage anywhere in the room. Plus, with your new plasma brackets you can easily pull the television in or out from the wall, adjusting to any circumstance, then tucking inconspicuously away. Sounds like a good idea, right? Well, now that you are unchained from the tyranny of the television’s stationary screen, you can get more creative. Mount a television in a transitional space, allowing for viewing from two different rooms. Or take those plasma brackets and install a small screen where you’ve never considered having a television before. That space over the sink’s been looking a little empty. LCD wall mounts are even perfect for your business. What could draw in clients better than a row of televisions looping company information in the lobby? The time for worrying about the differences between LCD and plasma has passed. Installing plasma brackets or LCD wall mounts has never been easier. We are in a new future, defined by a household where the television can take on a less intrusive, but more practical, role in our lives.
